is investigating a serious security breach at an airport in atlanta. a man sitting in the waiting lot at hartsfield-jackson international airport captured this with his cell phone. a woman tosses a bag over a fence to an airport worker. the bag is stuck and the worker climbs up to get it and it unfolded a few feet from the runway. delta and airport officials say they are now investigating. >>> and airport authorities think they have a plan to keep things moving along at sfo when there's bad weather, a lot of fog. when the skies are clearer, planes at sfo often land two at a time on parallel runways but when visibility is poor, it's just one plane at a time while the other planes are in holding patterns. sfo authorities say this will all change next summer. >> it will allow aircraft not side by side but staggered from one another to come in using both runways. with this change, we'll be able to arrive anywhere from 35 to 37 per hour. so it will definitely make an improvement. >> number of delayed flights at sfo is up about 10% in the last decade. the number of cancelled flights has doubled and today is prob

in one sense that people may not be familiar with. he's the first american president since andrew jackson to win a re-election with a lower popular vote percentage than he won his first time. we don't do that in american politics. when we re-elect a president, we typically embrace that president even more strongly than the first time. the president's not in that political category, but he has won re-election and he has a mandate based on what he makes of it. many political scientists say the idea of a mandate is basically fiction. >> we learned something about the shape of the electorate. in 2008, the obama campaign decided they were going to build a coalition out of young voters, minority voters and college-educated women. they did that again. they did it in a slightly different ways and different regions of the country, but the president get a smaller share of the white vote, but the white vote shrunk, and he got a larger share -- well, the white vote actually stayed about the same, it's been shrinking since 1990, '92, but he got a larger vote of the minority vote, hispanics and african

embarcadero towards jackson. as you get closer towards the coliseum and oakland airport, though, everything looks good. here's a live look at the golden gate bridge. traffic heading towards doyle drive. they still have that roadwork possibly in lanes. it looks like they are in the clearing stages now on the north end of the waldo tunnel towards sir francis drake. but if you are heading in the commute direction we saw some lanes change trucks cruise by a little earlier, so they have more lanes open towards doyle drive and san francisco. westbound highway 4 so far actually looks good. we are not seeing any sign of brake lights no changing color on our sensors from antioch towards concord. that's a nice trip in both directions. westbound 580 you will notice some brake lights now through stretches of the altamont pass almost towards vasco road. it's not enough to impact your drive time, though. 15 minutes between those wind turbines and 680 and the dublin interchange. more "timesaver traffic" camera coming up. in the meantime we're talking weather and major changes. here's lawrence. >> yes. we
